To begin with, we would like to thank all of our peers who took the time to write valuable feedback regarding our poster. We learned a lot from their insight about what we could do better. In addition, the comments made us think about the choices we made in a critical fashion.

One common theme that was throughout all the comments was how the poster could be more aesthetically pleasing. To rectify this issue, we created an entirely new poster, enhanced by various colours, shapes and gradients. Supplementary graphic visuals were scattered around the poster too, to create more balance along with the text. We hope that this new look really pops and catches the eye of the viewer. Next, as per peer recommendation, all section titles were changed to the same font for consistency. Moreover, spelling and grammatical errors were fixed to make the poster more professional looking. Abbreviations such as “can’t” were changed to “cannot” for the same reason. Alongside the final poster submission, a completed citation list has now been provided so that viewers can track down the original works.

There was some feedback from our peers that we elected not to include in the final poster. Not to disregard the remarks, but they did not match our vision for what the poster should be or match the assignment guidelines. For instance, it was recommended that we have more solutions. Specifics around transportation and help from neighbours were a couple of examples. Our group’s understanding was that solutions were to be discussed in the presentation aspect of this assignment instead. Comments around what specific surgery is being completed and additional discharge information will be discussed in further detail during the presentation as well.

Once again, we appreciate all the feedback and hope that the suggestions we incorporated have created a better overall poster.
