  1. Great poster everyone! I love how you personalized your scenario with a realistic and detailed case. Your poster is easily readable and you’ve matched some great graphics with each of your key points. I like the pink colour scheme and the way you have laid out your information. Your poster is easily readable and your decorations are appealing without being distracting.

You have very clearly outlined all three IPBs and connections. Each of your bubbles connects well together – you have clearly identified relationships, which flows into your boundaries, you’ve elaborated in perspectives, and tied it together in connections. I’m curious what you all think some potential solutions are. How might Gerdy be supported effectively in this difficult time?

Your first point in “interrelationships” mentions family as a source of pressure and expectations for Gerdy. I would love to see that kind of elaboration on the rest of your points as well. What kind of influence do Gerdy’s relationships have on her? Under ‘perspectives’, what is Gerdy’s perspective of PPD? I’m curious about what research might suggest regarding resources and education for new mothers.

Finally, I see two great quotes at the bottom of your poster (I like how one is incorporated into the flower). The points you have made all seem like logical and reasonable ideas. I’m interested to see how other research and literature ties into each of your points as well.

Overall fantastic poster, you have all done a great job. I look forward to seeing the final presentation.

    🙂

  2. Hi!
Great job on your poster guys! At first glance, I really liked how organized your poster appeared. It has a good flow to it, and I was able to easily read from top to bottom without getting distracted. I like the pink theme, it works really well with the white headings. The interrelationships of the case are clearly stated. I liked how COVID-19 is an aspect of the situation because that is a recent world event that affected so many people like Gerdy. I would recommend adding more detail to the interrelationships, including how these people/organizations involved in the case interact. For example, expanding on the interrelationships of the father and social work. The perspectives and boundaries sections are very straightforward and to the point. I would also recommend adding some more detail to the perspectives section about why these people/organizations have certain perspectives/biases about Gerdy and the situation. You guys linked it all together well at the end and touched on many points of complexity within your case. I think you guys gave tons of thoughtful connections to Gerdy’s situation. In particular, I like how the social determinants of health were used in the connections section. It is so important to understand the SDOH in relation to patients and how it can add to the complexity of the situation. Aesthetically, I think the font is a little bit too small to read without zooming in on the poster. I really like all the symbols/pictures you guys used and appreciate how they relate to the main idea of the poster. Overall, the poster looks great and very well done!
    Thanks for sharing!

  3. Hi guys,

This is a beautiful poster! The colours and consistency of the characters and pictures really caught my eye. I noticed that the font is a little small, but I’m hoping when everyone presents, the font will be bigger hopefully. I liked how the poster incorporated a story to introduce your complexity. I appreciated how this poster outlined there is a lot more that goes into helping women experiencing post-partum depression. The story you presented went into great depth about what other complexities can be mixed into post-partum depression and that that is not the only thing Gerdy is going through. As I read the poster, great connections were made with each interrelationship within the story; however, I would love to see more of an explanation for each relationship, such as with the baby- what is the interrelationship there? I agree with each point, though, noting other people are involved with Gerdy. One other thing I noticed is there is a lot of abbreviated language being used, such as HCP or HC. I suggest keeping it consistent and introducing each abbreviated term before using the abbreviation. I enjoyed the statistics that were placed at the bottom of the poster. The statistics provided a good understanding of what people go through when becoming a mother. In addition, the connections made between Gerdy and the healthcare team, along with societal norms and stigma, were an excellent way to show what mothers go through when experiencing post-partum depression.

    Well done, everyone!!
